HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT SIZE HEATER FOR YOUR
WORKSPACE
First, determine the cubic feet of the area you will heat.
Use the formula: Length X Width X Height. For example 28' X 25' X 10' = 7,000
cu. ft.
Next, decide the typical heat rise you'll require. For example, if the room temperature,
unheated drops to 15 degrees F and you want it heated to 70 degrees F, the heat
rise requirement is 70 degrees minus 15 degrees = 55 degrees.
Then use this formula: (sample numbers inserted) 7,000 cu. ft. X 0.133
(constant) X 55 degrees (temperature rise) = 51,205 BTU per hour required.
